Cyndi Joiner is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), a $4 billion consulting firm with global headquarters in New York. She is the Executive Advisor for Supply Chain, CFO Services and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) practices. She was the executive sponsor for the launch of the Federal Practice and continues to serve as Senior Advisor.
Joiner brings over 30 years of experience in operational improvements, supply chain optimization and risk management strategies. She has a proven track record in enhancing efficiency and driving substantial growth including achieving over $1 billion in supplier spend reduction. Ms. Joiner advises clients across multi-industries, including Financial Services, Transportation, Manufacturing, Higher Education, Non-Profits, U.S. Armed Forces and Government agencies.
Prior to joining A&M, Cyndi was a Chief Supply Chain Officer and held executive positions with GMAC and Wells Fargo.
Beyond business endeavors, Cyndi is committed to educating, feeding and teaching discipleship to children living in poverty-stricken third world countries. In 2023, Cyndi and her family celebrated the dedication of Good Samaritan School, a multi structure education campus that serves to nourish the minds, bodies and spirits of K-12 children in Birikani, Kenya. In 2022, Cyndi launched Girls Empowerment (GE) in Mombasa, Kenya. GE provides 100% funding and Christian mentorship to young Kenyan women pursuing a higher education.
Ms. Joiner earned a Bachelor of Art degree in Communications with a minor in Religious Studies from Lee University. She has an MBA from Pfeiffer University and earned a Negotiations Certificate from Harvard University.
Chris is the co-founder of Retouch along with his wife Jennifer. He has served in missions for over 11 years. Earning his undergrand in Pastor Ministries from Lee University and his Masters of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary, Chris is a talented writer and visionary, known for his ability to inspire and lead others in faith. Retouch would still be 10 children in a small room if it were not for the visionary talents of Chris. Chris and his family live in Mozambique, serving with Iris Global while running Retouch and dividing their time between Kenya, Mozambique, and the U.S. With a heart for empowering people, Chris is committed to Retouch’s mission of providing holistic care and education to vulnerable communities. His life’s work reflects a deep dedication to service, leadership, and discipleship.
Dr. Dusty Strickland is an exceptional member of our educational team, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to his role. With over a decade in education, Dusty began his journey with us in 2014 where he founded our Teacher Training Initiative. Dusty’s teaching career started in a 5th-grade classroom, then transitioned to a role as a Reading Interventionist at the high school level, supporting students in developing critical literacy skills. His dedication to enhancing teaching practices led him to become an Instructional Coach, a role in which he has excelled. As a coach, Dusty is instrumental in providing professional development for our teachers, observing and advising in classrooms, modeling and co-teaching lessons, and supporting teachers who may be struggling. His versatility is highlighted by his extensive experience across Elementary, Middle, and High School settings, making him a vital resource for educators at all levels. Additionally, Dusty contributes as a sponsor, and his family has visited the school, furthering our mission to provide high-quality education and support to our community.
Blake Joiner is a Senior Associate Attorney at Lorusso Law Firm. He approaches law as more than a profession; he sees it as a way to support those in need. Specializing in cases involving serious injury and wrongful death, Blake combines his defense and prosecution experience to create effective, personalized strategies for each client. He is committed to client communication and passionately advocates for their goals. A dedicated supporter of Retouch for over the past decade, Blake also visited Kenya to witness firsthand the impact of his support and meet the children he has personally invested in as a sponsor.
Dr. Sarah Ross brings a wealth of expertise in literacy and problem-solving to Retouch, with a Doctorate from Lipscomb University, a Master’s in Literacy from Middle Tennessee State University, and a background in Special Education from Lee University. Currently the assistant principal at Chapman Elementary in Tennessee, Sarah has traveled with Retouch since 2011, always packing books for students. Her passion for literacy led her to establish the container library and forge key partnerships, including One World Balls and Nashville SC, supporting Retouch’s youth soccer program.
Joy Ngudu has been with Retouch for seven years, bringing her talents as a discipleship director and her heart for service to Retouch. She directs the Girls Empowerment Program on the ground, and is focused on discipleship for the students. As Retouch’s dedicated social worker, Joy spends countless hours taking children to medical appointments, distributing food, and meeting with parents to provide support. Her commitment extends beyond her role at Retouch, as she also serves her community tirelessly in her spare time, embodying the compassion and dedication that define Retouch’s mission.
Taylor is the Co-Founder & CEO of Whiteboard. Under his leadership, Whiteboard has grown from a small startup to a mainstream creative agency, specializing in digital branding, platforms, and activation. Taylor and his team have worked with over 300 clients in a decade, driven by a passion to help visionaries leverage digital tools to advance their goals. His dedication to strategy, design, and digital experiences reflects his commitment to helping organizations transform and succeed. Taylor’s expertise has benefited a diverse range of clients, including Chick-fil-A and Compassion International. His work has gained recognition from prominent platforms such as Entrepreneur and The Webby’s. Amy is the co-founder of We Will Go Ministries, a Christian organization in the heart of Jackson, MS. For the last 20 years she has been serving the homeless and broken in the midst of poverty. She and her husband made the difficult decision to move their family into the same area they were ministering, being the tangible body of Christ, on the broken streets. Amy’s willingness to open home and hearts to those in need catalyzed the growth of their ministry, attracting volunteers, donations, and partnerships, and leading to broader initiatives in education, essential food, and discipleship. Through her leadership, Amy has played a crucial role in transforming We Will Go Ministries into a beacon of hope and change in Jackson, embodying the values of compassion, service, and community empowerment. Today We Will Go is a huge, multi-faceted ministry focusing on education, clothing, feeding, counseling, trade skills to name a few. We Will Go has supported Retouch’s feeding program and Amy offers 20 years of expertise of running a successful 501©3. Additionally, Amy’s work as a missionary, both at home and abroad, provides invaluable to the vision and mission of Retouch.
